Review:
Hi Rosa,
I’ve looked over your materials and I think you’re doing and are going to do a great job with this! You obviously have a passion for it and communicate it clearly and effectively. I like the “CCI” concept as well and your ability to interject your personality in your writing in a very pleasing way.
I really like what you’ve done. It’s very impressive! I like the personal tone you use which I believe will be just right. You present a lot of good music theor

Mel Bay’s You Can Teach Yourself Piano Chords (Book & DVD)
You Can Teach Yourself Piano Chords combines regular music notation with visual illustrations to give a clear picture of how to voice basic piano chords. The first part of the book introduces the student to basic triads and dominant seventh chords in all the inversions. After mastering this concept, material such as Maj7th, min7th, diminished, augmented and suspended chords are introduced, followed by alternate bass note, addition of the 9th and common chord progressions. Regardless of skill level, the student will quickly be able to play an accompaniment by using only chord symbols. The appendix section will give the student a clear understanding in basic music theory. When using this book as a lesson book it’s very helpful to refer to the appendix section while chords are being learned. The book can be used both for lessons and reference. Includes DVD.

Product Description
The ROCKMASTER System is for people with music in them who don’t read music, but want to play keyboard accompaniment. ROCK quickly teaches you how to play along with any song whose chords are known. You can use the sheet music guitar players use, but don’t have to learn the fingering for every chord, just the first one. After that the Rockmaster formula takes over, relating each ongoing chord to the chord that precedes it in the easiest way possible. Each finger stays where it is or moves to an adjacent note. The simple beauty of this formula is made even easier by ROCK’s unique visual representation of keyboard chords. The ROCKMASTER System reduces what you need to know about the keyboard down to its essentials, so you can put your piano or keyboard to the use you’ve always wanted to as soon as possible. You can play along to your favorite songs – or even to songs you write yourself!… Read More >>

- The Introductory Module presents three Guide Note C’s so that students will be prepared to read these notes throughout the rest of the book. It begins with a warm-up piece in the Modified Chopin Position (introduced in Book 1) to remind students to use a rounded hand position and to provide a fun piece focused on the coordination of all five fingers of each hand. Accidentals and ties are introduced to familiarize students with these symbols as they are used in the book.
- The Linking Module synthesizes and expands the concepts studied in the previous three modules into pieces that are more musically complex. Selected major and minor five-finger patterns in both hands are established and reinforced.
- The accompanying CD contains a musical introduction and an enhanced accompaniment for each piece. The number on the left side of the CD icon is the track number of the performance tempo; the number on the right is the track number of the practice tempo. In the score, the length of the introduction is shown in the measure of rest at the beginning of each piece.
- The Space C Module approaches reading from the space C’s in each clef. Centering around these C’s helps students orient to a more natural playing position and facilitates learning of the notes in the body of the staff. The Middle C Module teaches the notes of the traditional middle C position with varied fingerings to keep students from identifying notes with particular finger numbers. The thumbs share middle C only at the end of this module. Many pieces include space C’s from the Introductory Module.
Product Description
Book 2 follows Reader Book 1 with staff reading. Also improvisations, transpositions, and technical & written exercises are included. Four modules for notes on the staff give teachers greater latitude on what to teach first. Beginning piano students are often discouraged by traditional method books and styles of teaching the piano. That is because those methods put music reading ahead of playing the instrument. The revolutionary Klav-Ear Method teaches beginners to play the piano, including complicated rhythms, before insisting they read music notation. Importantly, from the very beginning the Klav-Ear Method builds a strong fundamental foundation by emphasizing the proper technique for playing the piano. Consider that children learn to speak fluently long before they learn the alphabet. The Klav-Ear Method recognizes that beginners of any age need to spend time exploring and playing the piano before being expected to read music notes. The Klav-Ear Method … Read More >>
