What Exactly Are Major and Minor Piano Chords
Piano chords are created, when two or more notes are combined. If you have mastered the basic skills in piano, you must know all about the tones that comprise of the twelve major scales. If you know how to play these scales effortlessly, you can apply your knowledge to create chords.
You can start learning to play piano chords from the simplest one called triad. The triad comprises of three notes- first, third and fifth notes of a major scale.
The three keys in the major piano chords are the white keys. These keys are followed by the next set of chords that include white keys on the outside and black keys in the middle. The pattern reveres in the following three major chords. The last three major chords are all black. This is followed by keys that are white, black and black and then black, white and white.
You can create minor piano chords, if you reduce the third tone. The minor chords you work on include the first, b third (flatted third) and fifth notes of the major scale. The minor chord includes the tones C, Eb and G. M, Min and the symbols that are used to represent the minor triad. If you see these symbols or alphabets in a piano note, you can understand that they refer to the minor chords.
Good online tutorials lend you support in learning how to create the twelve major and twelve minor chords quickly. You can familiarize yourself with left hand chording pattern in three fourth and four by four times. You can also recognize the techniques to create diminished and half diminished piano chords. You can practice playing the major chords several times to master them and play like a pro.
